In the past few days, I've read Agamemnon by Aeschylus and re-read Oedipus Rex by Sophocles for a class. My mind overflows with regal women trapped between the rocks and hard places created by their men and their own pride. Not to mention the pride of the gods.
This has, in the way that it will, made me think about what kind of jewelry these women would be wearing. (Okay, yeah, I'm a dork about it. Hush. ) So, off I went to look on the ever present Interwebs for some inspiration for this week's jewelry making. Mind you, I think most of what I found will be more inspirational to Simbelmyne, given her gifts with wire.
