Filigree in process. Sort of reminds me of my blog. Nitty gritty, unpolished, pretty darn fascinating.
A friend pointed out that it is ridiculous to write a blog for any reason other than to amuse myself. She has a point.
Another friend was bemoaning her lack of an iPad because she wants it in order to do more casual blogging. She's voicing a hope I had when I bought this lovely device.
Why haven't I been blogging? Why did the purchase of the iPad not magically revitalize my blog?
It's time to throw it all away and start over with a new approach.
What do I really want to write about. Jewelry, certainly. Gemstones, metal, classes, art, 18 hour days, shows, displays, shops, photography...
I need to stop worrying about if you'll forgive me for writing about the other stuff. Maybe I'm thinking that you'll think I don't spend time with my family. That I neglect my home. That we eat nothing by but junk food every day. Suffice it to say that these things are my life, they're unending, unglamourous, they are important. I do everything I can to be a deeply involved parent and a decent homeschooler. But they're not the things I want to write about and I don't think of them as things I take a novel approach to.
Jewelry art is my passion, my escape, my release. And that's what I want to write about
